July 12, 2013
LAS VEGAS, NV - NBA D-League seven-footer Liam McMorrow will be wearing the orange and blue jersey for the New York Knicks' Summer League Team.
The Knicks have added a different kind of depth to its growing summer league roster today with the addition of 7'2" and 270 pounds Liam McMorrow. Canadian-born Liam provides a physical presence and athletic talents which allow him to take complete command inside and move across the court while playing a physical game. His game intelligence and ability to absorb coaching has propelled him into an elite category of basketball players.
'I'm still living out my dreams... heaven knows I dreamed of being here and I always knew my dreams would become my reality,' said Liam Mc Morrow 'This is where I'm supposed to be. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere.'
Liam McMorrow started his basketball career when he caught the eyes of many NBA scouts and coaches; and in 2012 he was drafted into the NBA D-League by the Iowa Energy. Liam later decided to leave so he could get more playing time. Before getting drafted into the NBA D-League, he turned down offers from European and Asian leagues. Since then, he has been working out with NBA professional trainer Joe Abunassar at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas.
