Liberty's Big Man, Jibrille Fewell, Impresses at Pro Day
MARCH 7, 2014, LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA - Defensive lineman Jibrille Fewell brought his A game to the Liberty University Pro Day on March 3.
The Rock Hill, SC native ran a 4.85 40-yard dash and completed 24 reps of the 225 lb. bench press. Fewell also yielded a 4.62 shuttle run and a 7.5 3-cone.
Compared to scores from last week's NFL Combine, the 6' 1', 298 lbs. Fewell surpassed other top lineman picks in terms of his bench score. In addition, his 4.85 40-yard was impressive especially considering his size and position.
'I'm so blessed to even have this opportunity and I'm excited to see where everything goes this season,' said Fewell. 'I'm just really thankful for the opportunity God has given me and can't wait to see the plan He has for me.'
Agent James Peterson believes it's Fewell's thirst for the game that sets him apart.
'Jibrille was really excited and pleased with his results,' said Peterson. 'But he's still hungry and wants to show teams that he can do more, and that he can push even harder.'
Peterson noted that multiple teams have expressed interest in Jibrille following his Pro Day. Jibrille may be available for interview via media contact.
